VESTRE PRISON - CASE

Managing director of C3 Consulting Annette Dahl was the course leader of a three-day training course in "Intercultural skills in work situations" run by the course provider EDUCTOR.

The target group for the training course was prison officers in Vestre Prison. The course was based on the prison officers' day-to-day challenges and gave the participants a number of specific tools for handling conflicts with ethnic minority inmates.

Annette Dahl received top evaluations for the training and consequently the course was held several times.

Said about the course:

Really enjoyed taking part in the course

"I have really enjoyed taking part in the course. I used to be quite judgemental, but after the course I learned to be more objective and positive in my first impressions of people and in different work situations.

I have used the ‘win-win’ method a lot, as Annette taught us to do, which means not pointing the finger at others but rather at yourself.

I can recommend the course to others who experience challenges communicating with members of ethnic minority groups, both professionally and privately."
